Train derailed in the northwest of Spain, at least 10 people were reported killed.
Spanish railway company Renfe has confirmed the train come off the rails near the town of Santiago de Compostela in the Galicia region.
Renfe spokesman told the AFP news agency, several people were killed and many more injured.
Spanish Efe news agency, police and hospital sources claimed that at least 50 people were injured.
The report said the 13 carriages left the tracks and four carriages overturned completely.
Pictures showed dozens of emergency workers crowded around the car ruined.
Passengers are shown lying on the ground untreated.
