Devin Gardner, who will wear No. 98 in honor of Tom Harmon.

There are only two ( Table) conference series remaining in Notre-Dame Michigan Wolverines hope to make them special . And effort that extended even to celebrate Saturday pregame quarterback Devin Gardner won the No. 98 jersey in honor of the legendary Tom Harmon, Michigan .
Gardner will wear No. 98 for the remainder of his career , beginning with a showdown Saturday night against the Irish.

Harmon was the first time Michigan State won the Heisman Trophy winner in 1940 , the son of Mark Harmon has enjoyed a successful acting career in Hollywood and was on hand for the ceremonial pregame respect "Ole 98". Saturday

"My father would be proud now ," Harmon told the Detroit Free Press Saturday . "He should be ashamed. But he 'd be proud. He was ashamed of his humble and think that no one can do it alone ... it's important for Michigan to realize my father both deserve. Not what my father had in his life that are not attached to the MI . " .

"It's hard to say that I was honored to wear No. 98, " Gardner in a statement . "You see , Tom Harmon, photos and prints all over our building knows that everything he accomplished on the field for this application , and then represent our country and have the opportunity to talk to his family. today it was kind of surreal . I 'm very humbled and happy . " .
