Rouhani new Iranian leader calls for 'serious' nuclear talks.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani called "serious and sensitive" negotiations with the international community on its nuclear program.

In a statement the first time since his inauguration on Sunday, Mr. Rouhani said he was confident of the concerns that both sides will be fixed in a short time.

But the solution may be reached. Solely through. "I do not threaten," he added.

President of the United States, said Mr. Rouhani presented an opportunity for Iran to solve the world's "deep concern".

"This new government should choose to engage seriously and substantively. To meet international obligations and to find a peaceful solution to this problem is to find a willing partner in the U.S., "it added.

Western powers suspect Iran is seeking to develop nuclear weapons. But Tehran insists that its nuclear program is entirely peaceful.

Iran has repeatedly rejected demands by the so-called P5 1 - the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany - to stop uranium enrichment.
