Zimbabwe opposition MDC called for a political boycott.

Leading figure of Zimbabwe's opposition has called for a campaign. "Passive resistance" after election results showed President Robert Mugabe's party won a majority in Parliament.

Roy Bennett, treasurer of the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) said that everyone should be forced to Mr Mugabe's ZANU. "Self-governing".

MDC has already said it will not recognize the alleged fraud.

It is the party held an emergency meeting to discuss the results.

Zimbabwe Election Commission earlier said ZANU won 137 seats in the 210 seats - just two short of the three - with the most seats in the declaration.

Result in the presidential race have not been announced.
